Princess Peach has explosive vocabulary from the earlier attack, so Bowser requests (as does the Toadstool retainers that they recover the voice from Beanbean Kingdom. Head right in town to find a Mushroom, and then offer it back to the Toad to get a Super Mushroom. Go right to climb the hedge to find a Mushroom in a block, then a 1-Up Mushroom can be gained by speaking to the fellow on the hedge (go south of him to find the way up) and then go south to the bottom of the ledge and examine it, followed by returning to him. Now leap out to the right to get the Mushroom from the block. When you are ready, go talk to Luigi and head to the next screen to find the first save block.
Use the color of the attack name to determine which brother is under attack (the longer name means she will attack the brother of that color first and then the other one) as well as the techniques you learned on the ship to end the fight quickly. However, Fawful is sore and uses her headgear to destroy the Koopa Cruiser! After Mario and Luigi land as "meteorites", they will be in the Beanbean Borderland.
The Hammer Brothers are security on the Mushroom side of the border and they require some proof that Mario and Luigi can handle the trip they wish to do, so they challenge them to jump the border line enough times before one of the brothers messes up three times. The Hammer Brothers also award a Beanbean Map to the Brothers before they set off to jump the defense spikes that block their way to a couple Mushrooms. Continue through the area with the Fighter Flies to find a save spot, and then Bowser will be found in a nearby cannon. To free him, the Mario Brothers offer all of their Coins, but that is not enough, so the Brothers must go out to the Stardust Fields to get 100 more.
To gain the 100 Coins, simply fight enemies and check out boxes. However, be sure to climb the sandbag hill to find the Starshade Brothers, who will teach Mario and Luigi Bros. Action secrets like the High Jump and the Spin Jump . Now grab their flag to prove your worth, and use the techniques to get a Mushroom and the respect of the Starshade Brothers. Now continue on your Coin hunt using your new techniques to reach areas you previously could not. When you find the Starshade Brothers again, learn how to perform Bros. Actions in battle. Once you have enough, return to Tolstar and he will go back on the deal before attacking .
Try out the Bros. Actions to inflict massive damage, remembering to watch and jump the thrown spiked balls from Tolstar. When he says "Neyck", stand still to dodge the bouncing spiked ball. Get 30 Experience each and a 1-Up Mushroom for winning this bout.
After some false allegations, visit Hoohoo Village, and then take the lower route to find Fawful beating a guard! She will then block your path, so return the way you came and take the high route to the next area and enter the hut to meet the Hammerhead Brothers. They promise to make Hammers, but they need Hoohoo Blocks. After leaving the area, return to cross the repaired bridge to go to Hoohoo Mountain!
Hit the Mario Switch to make a watering hole flow again, then hop down to the right and go down one screen to use that watering hole to out a nearby fire and get a whirlwind. Use the two in combo to get over the hump to the next area. Use your Spin Jump to collect 10 Hoohoo Spirits in 30 seconds, so keep spinning around the four ledges and grab 10 of them . For succeeding, you must defeat the guardian! To win, you must attack the pillar of rock he does not hides under and then jump on him when he is in the open (Bros. Actions can really hurt him). His pillars will use a straight on laser (always the Mario Brother they are lined up with) and he uses a sweeping laser when in the open (twice as powerful, but can be dodged).
Hit the Mario Switch to make a watering hole flow, and use your Spin Jump to get to the watering hole . Take the bloated Mario right to go down hidden stairs and extinguish a fire to unleash a whirlwind.
This area requires a timed Spin Jump to hit the moving whirlwind, then riding it to the far left before leaving it to go to the far ledge to reach next area. Repeat the process in this area, this time riding it to the right to use a different whirlwind to reach the ledge. Continue through the area to reach the summit, where Blablanadon has a Hoohoo Block! When the egg hatches, it unleashes Dragohoho!
Use Bros. Actions to hurt the big beast while jumping the projectiles spit at Mario and Luigi. Remember to destroy the Hoho Stone so Dragohoho can not come in close to do his fireball attacks.
Prince Peasley will give the Mario brothers a rose to get into Beanbean Castle before Blablanadon airlifts the brothers down to the Hoohoo town. Be sure to visit the Hammerhead brothers to get your Hammers and explore the area with your new toys before heading down to where Fawful blocked your route previously to continue on towards Beanbean Castle.
Use your newfound Hammers to break your way to the switch in the bottom right to hit it to release water needed to cool the fiery rock. After using Mario to do so, the next area to go past the cave to get some treasure before returning to the cave. Inside are two carts that you must ride in and collect 10 Diamonds and batteries for Mario's flashlight while dodging the enemies falling from the roof .
Continue down the path towards Beanbean Castle, taking time to learn how your hammers work in battle (or see Basics), and you will arrive to a trashed town! Look around and see the lone store before heading to Beanbean Castle to flash Peasley's Rose and get inside.
After getting banished by Lady Lima to the sewers to fix the plumbing, use your hammer to plug the holes in the pipes, opening the next section. The second section requires all of the pegs to be hammered down, turn the wheel with a Spin Jump, and then another hammering for the popped out plugs to open the next area. When you find the second wheel, use a Spin Jump to cause the top left plug to rise, so smash it with a hammer, then smash the two corks that pop up, and then final one to make the platform rise. Spin Jump the next wheel to get the water flowing in a past room, so return there and hammer down the plugs to open the door to the next area. Pound the solo cork here to open two doors, raiding the one straight ahead of treasure before heading up to the Beanstar room, where Queen Bean has been horribly transformed
Queen Bean wears a pointy crown on her head, so the Mario Brothers will need to take her arms down one at a time with jump attacks (Bros. Actions will also do good damage) to knock the crown off of her head, making her vulnerable (use jump attacks or Bros. Actions for the most damage). However, she has a myriad of attacks to call upon, including: a double arm sonic boom (double jump wave of purple energy), a single arm sonic boom (double jump wave of weaker energy), a single fist slam (use hammers to hit her first), and a multiple bean spit with no arms (jump the offending projectiles, but stomping them will add a beanie to the fight). The Queen needs Chuckola Reserve, so off to Chucklehuck Woods!
Lady Lima will give you a Beanbean Brooch and a Beanbean Badge (equip it right away)! Now be sure to stop by the stores next to see how new products are for sale (better Jeans, Pants, and trousers for both Brothers), and then head out of town and start towards the southwest towards Chucklehuck Woods! Go through the small area to enter a building where the recipe for the Chuckola Cola can be found.
In this barrel-filled room, you will need to follow the following directions to get through the hidden maze (follow direction till you stop moving): up, right, up, left, down, left, down, left, up, right, up, right, up, left, down-left, down, right, and down to make it through so the Brothers can High Jump onto the tops of the Barrels to reach the next room. Here you will find Popple the Shadow Thief (he tailed your Bros. In the Barrel Room) who will call out his rookie to join him in a fight!
Popple will use a charging attack (jump on him to dodge and hurt him) as well as come in for a steal (use a Hammer counter). Rookie will throw Hammers of his own at the Mario Brothers, which must be countered with your Hammers as well as remembering how he can breathe fire (jump this attack). Use Bros. Attacks on Rookie to start (otherwise he will continually throw Hammers for every attack on Popple) to win this bout.
Follow them to the next room, and hit the Barrel lying on its side to bust out two fellows who run the Chateau. They will teach Luigi how to make Mario mouse like so he can enter smaller entrances and teach Mario how to make Luigi mole like so he can walk around under the ground!
Enter the hedge maze through the hole on the left (covered by a rock) to hit the switch to open the gate, get the Items through the other hole, and then Super Jump to the exit above. Mole Luigi is the key in this area, so get him under the barrel and jump up to get inside of it and walk to the green switch to have the statue on the wall fry itself.
To the east of this area is a treasure room, but to advance on, go to the northwest exit of the area. Go to the stair like ledges, Spin Jump to the ledge with the Barrel, and have Mole Luigi take the barrel to rest under the switch that Mario will use his Hammer on to reach the next area. After speaking to the Chuckleroot, go through the west gate first to head south (take the left path) through this area to meet a granddaughter of the Chuckleroot who challenges the duo to dig up five Beans (just make Luigi do his Mole thing and jump from the ground where the marks are). Jump on the Wiggler to make it go through the hole and then send Mouse Mario through the hole to bring out the enraged Wiggler to get into a fight.
Send Mouse Mario through for the Red Chuckola Fruit, then return to the previous area, this time taking the path south on the right to find the Purple Chuckola Cave. After passing through the first cavern, use a Spin Jump to get the Purple Chuckola Fruit! Now return to the Chuckola Root area (by retracing your steps or by going down out of the cavern you are in), this time going through the eastern gate.
Start by making Mario be a mouse to pass through the hedge to use the Hammer on the switch.
Press START to switch to Luigi, who goes through the opened gate to hit a switch.
Press START to switch to Mario, who hits a switch with his Hammer before exiting his side to join Luigi once more (make Mario large again).
Make Luigi into a Mole (grab the Chuckle bean if you wish), and then send him under the grate to hit the switch.
Now you can return to the Chuckola Root to pass, at which point Rookie and Popple to blow past the Brothers Mario! Follow them to find them captured by the Chuckola Reserve itself that has somehow come to life and it attacks!
The Chuckolator will shoot balls of Chuckola Reserve (jump them) as well as sending Chuckola Reserves along the ground (Hammer it) to attack. Use your hammers to destroy the things shield, and then use your hammer Bros. Actions to deal excellent damage to the body of the beast. When it shrinks down (losing it's arm), the creator can come tell it terrible jokes to help refill it's life as well as the Chuckaltor attacks by charging at the Mario brothers (use your hammers to stop it). Continue attacking with Bros Actions (Hammer ones only) and solo Hammer attacks to finally finish it off.
He will cause Mario to become separated from Luigi, so set off all alone Mr. Lime-Green! Fight past the enemies to find Mario and take the Barrel back to Beanbean Castle
Go east from Beanbean Town, then south twice and then east to find Woohoo University! Enter inside to find a ruckus in progress; including a fellow ho warns you that professors are the enemy before coming one himself! Go to the next room and examine the map before going up to the next room to hit two Red Boxes. Go through the opening the blocks created, and work past the enemies as you will eventually find the Sun Door release Code. Go to the next room and implement the change from the first picture to the second picture to open the Sun Door.
Keep moving to arrive in a different room where the following steps are needed to pass it:
- Mouse Mario jumps through an open hole to hammer a switch..
- Press START to control Luigi and go through the open gate to hit the switch.
- Press START and hit the Bros. Block to start the challenge listed to open their gates and a new gate as well.
- Send Mario through the new opening and along the walls to enter the top-left room to hit the switch.
- Have Mario leave the room, enlarge him, and then make Mole Luigi get into the Barrel.
- Send Mole Luigi towards the raised switch and have Mario climb on top and hit the switch to make the light open a new door (follow the beam to get there).
Go where the crane was and go left to find a room where Luigi is at the top and barrels will continually try to run Mario down in homage to the original Donkey Kong game of the early 1980's. Hit the switch to see Luigi get rolled into a Bros. Block that opens a new door! Follow the beam of light to the opened door.
Start off the fight by jumping all of the holes she sends at you (if they catch you, your jumping will be impaired somewhat for the remainder of the fight), which is followed by multiple lightning strikes (jump them to avoid them, starting with Mario if she raises her right hand, Luigi first if she raises her left hand, and jump at same time for both arms being raised). When she splits herself, jump at them until you find the real one (hit a fake and you have to jump multiple bats as they exit). Use Bros. Actions to take her down when she is not hiding from the two. When she transforms, she is about to lose the bout.
After the bad guys are dealt with (thanks to Prince Peasley), head to the basement will have to get to a room where the power lines are cut. Use the waterspout to get Mario ammunition to knock the mice into the line to get the juice flowing to open the nearby door. Once inside, Popple and Rookie will have the Beanstar!
Note that they have added two Bros. Attacks of their own (jump the shockwaves or hammer the flaming Popple projectile to avoid damage). Use Bros. Attacks on Rookie to start (otherwise he will continually throw Hammers for every attack on Popple) to win this bout.
After the big explosions, Bowser knows who he is and the Mario are in East Beanbean at the Oho Oasis!
Go up to enter the thunder palace and send Mole Luigi under the fence to smash the thunder rock, followed by grabbing the thunder ball to learn the Thunderhand technique. Now go down to the next room and power the ball to drop the gate, reuniting with Mario to return to the starting area at the oasis. Go east one area and then north to find the fire palace, where shrinking Mario down and sending him to learn the Firebrand technique before using it on the fire spot to open the door and reunite with Luigi.
Use your new powers to fight some islanders (get Oho Jee Wear for better protection by beating them), and then light the two altars near where you washed up on the beach to make a bridge to a yellow pipe that takes the Brothers underwater!
Once you arrive at a dead end with two orbs, use your thunderhand to electrify them to make the bridge appear to the Beanbean Airport where Piranha Plants have taken over the runway! Use the waterspouts to have Mario spit on the Piranha Plants to over saturate them, followed my Luigi using thunderhand on them to permanently shock the roots away. Keep it up till the big egg hatches to reveal a very irate Piranha Plant!
Peach actually has her voice (I guess she WASN'T duped after all!), so after Peasley runs off, go talk to the Queen and Princess Peach about going to Little Fungitown. Head north from the castle to find the entrance to Teehee Valley (you should check out the Sidequests section for details on your Hammer Power-Up if you have not done so previously) and bust the rock before going in.
Head down into the yellow pipe and rescue the Princess (sounds like EVERY Mario Brothers game, does it not?), and then walk with her as she wanders the desert. Use the Bros. Switch in the second area after killing the Gritty Goombas. The third area require Mario and Luigi to jump up the stairs, smash the rock, and then get Mole Mario under the barrel, all the while keeping peach in sight. Then it is a quick jaunt to the high switch where Mario opens the gate to allow Peach and the Brothers through.
This area requires the two Brothers to walk her around as they kill the enemies, then bring her back to the starting area so the High Jump to the higher ledge, followed by Spin Jumps across the gaps to reach the Bros. Block will open the gate ahead. Princess Peach will then be attacked by a Trunkle!
Trunkle will use a multiple rolling boulder attack (smash them with your hammers). Use whichever attacks you wish to hurt him After a brief beating, he will break into four small Trunkles, which will roll at you (jump on them) or come underneath the ground (pound with hammers). Every one that you drive into the ground is not the real one, so concentrate your attacks on the real one when you know which one it is (use Bros. Attacks for best results on the real one).
Use your thunderhand technique on the orbs to open the next door, then work . This will allow Luigi to grab the Crabbie Grass before going to the next room to use the Yellow Pipe to go back to Little Fungitown to heal Mario. Bowletta will then demand the four pieces of the Beanstar from the landing zones that Peasley will mark on your map for you. Off to Teehee Valley for the first piece!
Head west to find the Beanstar piece, but not before it is taken below decks on the ship! Go down below to see the Beanstar Piece get stowed before you return to the area where a fellow at a door with lights offer you a job (say yes). After passing the test the fellow lays out for you, you will get a membership card, which allows them to go after the Beanstar Piece, but only if they get Bloat out of the wall. Go near the Captains Room and hit the boarded up floor with a hammer to knock the TNT down beside Bloat, followed by lighting it with Mario's Firebrand technique to remove Bloat as well as allowing a torrent of sand in and it goes to Ocean before sinking!
Underwater once more , so head east to the next area to light the altar in the top-right corner to open the path southward to pass through the area quickly. Make Mario into a Mouse, send him through the passageway to the other side of the corals, have him light the altar in the bottom-left corner of the area, and then have Luigi thunderhand the door opener to get to the next area. High jump up to the yellow pipe to get to Gwarhar Lagoon.
You will arrive to another multi-corridor area with your first step being to go east. Head north to the Jellyfish Sister's Relaxation Room. The two will find your powers invigorating and teach you two new moves before sending you to get the Pearl Beans in the cave. The path to the right requires use of the Fire Dash to pass the guardians to get the Red Pearl Bean. The left path requires you to set up to the right of the Boo Statues, use your new technique, and push them to the left in the slot to make the bridge appear. For this area, have Mario face down with Luigi above him and walk through the area with your new technique to get the Green Pearl Bean.
Now continue east to Fire Dash the big Koopa Troopa to enter into enemy territory as you still move east to find a Yellow Pipe leading underwater yet again. Get the treasure down here before using the waterspout with a Spin Jump to get up to the Yellow Pipe to re-surface in Grarhar Lagoon. Go south to find a rolling defense, so have Mario face north and then have Luigi shock him to move the two through the pointy defense to the other side. This rolling defense has to be passed with a Mario technique and head south to find a Spin Block, which is moved my Spin Jumping into it (move this one to the left to then High Jump to the cliff above). Go north and then east to find a Spin Block that you should move up, right, and then up before scaling the cliff to the left to Spin Jump across the gap to push the Boo Statue to make a path appear north through the water in the previous area.
Now go east to enter a yellow pipe that takes the Brothers down into the water where more waterspout fun leads to another yellow pipe going to the surface where a Boo
Statue must be pushed to add a chunk to the stone bridge. Head south again, this time climbing the stairs to hit the Bros. Switch to make a large ball appear. You have 10 seconds to perform a Fire Dash to hit the ball, followed by immediately jumping to hit the next Bros. Switch to make a stone bridge appear below so the team can continue east. After passing through a small area, climb the steps to hit a Bros. Block, which gives you twenty seconds to do the following steps:
- Fire Dash with the ball to hit the next Bros. Block .
- Spin Jump across the gap to the Bros. Block and hit it .
- Fire Dash from that exact spot (choose the highest point there) to reach and hit the final Bros. Block .
- Now go west across the rock bridge that forms to push a Boo Statue to finish the rock bridge (return there immediately). You will find Hermie III, who gets enraged after his decorators decide to pay attention to the Brothers Mario and attacks!
Hermie III will attack with his claws (jump on them to damage him) as well as sending poisnous bubbles (use your Hammer to block or possibly get poisoned). Use your conventional attacks (use thunderhand for Luigi to do critical damage) on his claws to disable his counterattack, then use Bros. Attacks on his face. When he retreats to his shell, use this time to heal yourself, followed by firebrand technique to stop his healing ways in their tracks. Repeat this cycle to get the victory.
You will need to give her four designs of shirts:
- A Red color with any design.
- A Yellow color with a Checkered design.
- A Purple color (hit both Red and Blue) with a Polka-Dot design.
- A Brown color (hit all three colors) with a Star design (two or more Designbombs).
After some servant beatings and general conversation, you will have to find the 7 Bean Fruits (found in flower bunches) to give to the Yoshis in the theater to get the seven neon Eggs.
| Northeast of Beanbean Castle, near the pass to Hoohoo Mountain. | |
| One area south of the first one. | |
| Southwest of Beanbean Castle. | |
| South of Beanbean Castle, just east of Beanbean Airport entrance. | |
| Southeast of Beanbean Castle, on the route to Hoohoo University. | |
| Northeast of Beanbean Castle, to the east of entrance to Teehee Valley. | |
| Northeast of Beanbean Castle, defeat the Piranha Bean with Luigi. |
Now return to the Yoshi theater, feed the seven hungry Yoshis inside the theater, and present the Neon Eggs to Boddle to get your third Beanstar Piece ! With one Beanstar Piece remaining, head for Chucklehuck Woods!
After entering into the forest, go east, then north, and then east to find a large Koopa Troopa in need of a Fire Dash to pass through a cave. Now continue on past the blocked path to find the Winkle Colosseum to play the challenge there and get 21 points or better to receive the Winkle Card. Now backtrack to the blocked path to be granted admittance to the next area where Popple will be almost within reach of the Beanstar Piece!
Popple will use his charge attack (jump on him top counter it), his steal technique (hammer him to thwart his efforts), and when he looks backwards as he charges, he will attempt to take a hammer away (he will keep using it till the other brother hammers him). Go all out with Bros. Attacks to get the victory easily.
Head for the southeast section of land surrounding Beanbean Castle, use your Ultra Hammer to break a rock, and talk to the fellow by a slot in the ground to learn that you need a surfboard (or a surfboard substitute) to learn how to cross the ocean. This substitute is suggested to be green, so pound Luigi into the slot to start surfing. Head northeast from the beach to pass Oho Oasis to reach the icy expanse that is Joke's End. You will find a Green Warp Pipe that can take you back t the mainland easily if you need to do so at anytime.
Head up until you find an altar to light to open a door, and then go left. If you want a Red Pepper and a Green Pepper, go left and use a Spin Jump with the whirlwind to find a Monty Mole, but to advance, pass through the door. Now go up to bust the walled off door with your Hammer, climb the stairs, and then go right (go left first for some treasure if you like) to use a Spin Jump to cross over to the next platform.
Make Mole Luigi go under the gate and hit the Bros. Block to open the large door, and then send Luigi through the stairs and challenges ahead to reach a Simu Block. Now Press START to change over control to Mario, and send him through the now open door to pass through all of the enemies to reach the other Simu Block. Have both Mario Brothers jump in unison to drop the gate, and have move to the next screen to stand other the Bros. Block., then bring Luigi into the room. Now hit the Bros. Block to drop a Barrel, and have Luigi jump on top to hit the switch with his hammer to open the door by Mario.
Take the bridge on the right to find a room where the High Jump will lead to a new path up some stairs and then down some stairs to a large room (treasure room on the left behind the walled off door). Go right to go down below and light the fireplace to boil the Bad Joke Soup, followed by Spin Jumping in the steam to make the whirlwind appear by the four candles. Go to that area, have Mario fill up at the watering hole, and use Luigi's hammer on Mario while aiming at the whirlwind to put out the four candles, thus opening the door. Head up the stairs to arrive at the fourth floor.
Climb the small platforms, hit the Bros. Block to make the bridge appear, and then perform a Fire Dash to get there before it disappears. Invite whichever one you prefer and enter into battle with Jojora and friend!
Jojora will attempt to hurt you with his wand, so use your hammer counter to send it flying off screen. With him gone, attack his friend with bros. Attacks to end the fight quickly. When the friend charges, jump on her as she tries to grab a Brother to counter her. If Jojora manages to return, then just repeat the process of knocking his wand away to make the friend vulnerable without worry of a counterattack.
Light the two unlit pillars to drop the purple wall down, and go right. Send Mole Luigi under the gate and he will give the Beanstar to Fawful after the fake does not work. Send Luigi up to the next room to hit a switch to open the gate, and then send the two after Fawful. The two will take off to the Koopa Cruiser.
After Luigi is found out, send him through the ship, lighting any Crystal Balls with his Thunderhand to get some Hoo Beans. Light the final Crystal Ball to get the Beanstar once more and after a rough landing, Mario will go after him. Hit the Bros. Block to lower the ledge, go through the new opening, and head left to enter a Yellow Pipe. Light the column, and then burn Luigi's rope to get him back on your team. However, Popple chooses this moment to attack with his new Rookie!
Return to Beanbean Castle to find the city is being destroyed by Bowletta from within Bowser's floating castle! To get up to the castle, you will need to head off to Hoohoo village at the base of Hoohoo Mountain to find Blablanadon to get inside Bowser's Castle!
Head up through the doors, then right up the stairs to pass through the next door, and then jump across the many gaps here till reaching a larger gap requiring a Spin Jump to the next ledge where a door awaits. This is Iggy's Room, and after he makes you dizzy, you will have to walk with your controls all shifted around (if using a Gameboy Player, then figure out which direction is which and shift the controller so it is in a "natural" direction setting) to pass flames as you move towards Iggy to enter into battle!
Iggy Koopa is a rather simple guy to defeat, using a fireball attack (hit the fireballs with your hammers to block them back at Iggy). Just use Bros. Attacks to get him down quickly.
Morton Koopa Jr. has a stomp attack, sending out the number of waves equal to how many spin he does in the air (jump each wave of energy to avoid damage). Have the two Brothers work as one to deal the most damage they can in a short time to win easily.
Enter the warp to appear near the newly raised platform, and continue to the right to find a set of stairs leading to a Spin Jump across a gap to reach a door. High Jump up the steps, Spin Jump across the gap, and then continue High Jumping up the steps to reach a gap requiring another Spin Jump to the next ledge where the door awaits. This area has a bunch of Whirlwinds waiting for the brothers to use with a Spin Jump to reach the next area where moving whirlwind must be used to cross the gap. You have arrived in Lemmy's Room, where the Clown Prince of the Koopas will make three copies of himself. After finding him, a battle will ensue.
Lemmy Koopa will have four copies of himself, so start off with a Thunder Bros. Attack to find the real one. When you do, use Bros. Attacks on him to really make him hurt. Lemmy will use a fireball attack (like Iggy, just use your hammers to block them back at Lemmy).
Enter the warp to return to the entrance of the area, have Mario swallow some water, and then put out the flames before passing through. Enter the first set of doors you find to head left to find a large room. Here you must take a mouthful of water, and use Luigi's Hammer to drive the Mecha-Koopas into the broken electrical conduits to make them a condutocr for the juice. Repeat this two more times to open the door, make sure to have a mouthful of water, and then enter the next room to Thunderhand Mario from behind while near a Piranha Plant to get a Bros. Block to hit (if it is the wrong one, an enemy set will attack). Now you have entered Ludwig Von Koopa's Room, who will try to hit the two brothers with his spiky shell, so jump the attacks to get into battle.
Ludwig Von Koopa will use more of his spiky shell spin attacks, moving all over the area where the Maroi Brothers stand (jump each time he draws near to avoid damage). Use your Bros. Attacks as usual to get the quick and easy victory.
Enter the warp to reappear outside the rooms you just passed through, hammer Mario and send him through the hole to hammer the switch before reuniting with Luigi to move left to enter the doors. A maze of blocked off rooms will block the way, so do the following steps to get through:
- Hammer Luigi into a Mole, send him under all of the gates until he is in a room with a switch to hit .
- Now have Luigi use the spring to leave, return to Mario, make Mario into a Mouse, and then send him into this room to hit the switch.
- Reunite Mario with Luigi and head through the opened gate in the top-right corner of the room.
Enter Roy Koopa's Room, have Mario jump to the higher platform while Luigi remains on the low platform so they can hit the Simu Blocks and then continue to the right till Luigi hits a lower platform. Have Luigi jump up, move the two under the Simu Blocks, and hit the two before moving to the right to hit the next two sets of Simu Blocks to cause Roy Koopa to appear. Now rejoin the brothers before High Jumping to Roy's ledge where he will… take off? Enter the warp to appear back outside, head left and then up to be attacked by Roy Koopa!
Roy Koopa enters battle with a special Bob-Omb that has a timer for a face. If that timer reaches 0 before the fight ends, then you lose. Roy has a stomp attack (like Morton), sending out the number of waves equal to how many spin he does in the air (jump each wave of energy to avoid damage). Bros. Attacks are definitely the best couyrse of action (especially Chopper Bros.) to deal enough damage to beat the clock.
Go have Mole Luigi get under the barrel, move it up to rest under the switch, and then have Mario jump on top to hit the switch with his hammer to have the barrel thrown into the air. Use Mole Luigi in the next room with a barrel to allow Mario to hit the switch to open the door to the next room. Keep Luigi in the barrel, have him lead the two to the right path to allow Mario to stand on top to light the column over the lava (repeat this for the left side).
Take the transporter, Thunderhand the crystal ball, and then Spin Jump across the gap thanks to the new platforms to reach a another door to enter. Hit the Bros Switch with Luigi in front, and after the time begins, have Mario use his Fire Dash on Luigi to break through the walls to reach the next Bros. Switch before the time expires. This room requires a few steps to complete this challenge:
Have Mole Mario pass through the small hole and advance till he reaches a yellow ledge.
- Have Luigi advance on his path till he is under the yellow ledge that Mario is on .
- While in control of Mario, have Luigi jump to bump the platform, causing it to raise and allow Mario to jump to the next ledge.
- Repeat this procedure for the next two yellow ledges to cause a bridge to appear, which is where Luigi will go and take to join up with his brother once more to use his High Jump to reach the door.
- Have Mole Luigi go on without Mario to have a barrel fall on his head, and thenhe must play tennis with a fireball (block it from reaching the Bob-Omb until the Koopa Kid misplays it and takes it in the face). Have both brothers chase Larry to enter into battle.
Fawful will be inside his machine to start, so just attack it to cause him to counterattack with one of three options: throws fireballs (hammer them back to do some damage to Fawful), a double beam sweep (jump the two sweeps he makes), or multiple energy ball rotation (hammer them as they draw near, then jump any that you did not destroy). After a few rounds of this, Fawful will overheat the machine, which is the time when the Mario Brothers should send their best Bros. Attacks at Fawful (Chopper Bros. And Cycllone Bros. Are two good ones). If Fawful ever gets back inside the machine, repeat the same steps to get him to overheat the machine once more.
Pass through the doors above to find Bowletta who will quickly attack the Mario brothers!
After the countdown Bob-Omb sneak attacks and Bowletta swallows the Mario Brothers, you get to fight Cackletta's spirit form.
Cackletta has a myriad of attacks to call upon, including:
| Double Arm Swing: she will swing her two arms around, so watch to see if you need to jump the incoming appendage or not. | |
| Giant Energy Ball: She wills end this to attack one Brother from above, so use your Hammer to volley it back into the air until it finally dissipates. | |
| Dual Fireballs: these two fireballs will rotate in a circle, periodically stopping to turn the other way. Jump them in unison every time they circle around. | |
| Single/Double Flick: She will extend her arms to flick the two Mario Brothers, so use your Hammers to damage her hands before she attacks. | |
| Fawful Summon: A misty Fawful image will be drawn up to spit fireballs at the Mario Brothers, so jump the attack and then use a hammer on the image to destroy it. | |
| Eye Laser/Freeze Motion: With this combo, she will charge her eyes up to shoot, and then freeze time before firing. You will have to guess if she will shoot high or low the multiple times she fires. | |
| Rebounding Energy Ball: this small ball will move at a brother, so hit it to cause it to rebound towards the other brother. Keep knocking it back and forth to make it dissipate. | |
| Multiple Energy Balls: When she does this, watch for the energy balls that fall on the ground directly in front of a Mario brother, as you will need to prep your hammer for the energy ball's charge. |
However, the battle is not completely won yet as Prince Peasley informs the Mario Brothers he planted an explosive device, so it is time to escape! Head to the right to High Jump up a couple of times to then head to the right and down the path. Run down the stairs, make Mole Luigi get into the barrel, and then slowly climb the stairs. Once at the top, drop down two ledges to have Mario go on top of the barrel to hammer the switch and open the door that will take the two through a small path back to the entrance where Blablanadon will take the Brother Mario away from harm.
Congratulations on winning the battle for the Beanbean Kingdom as well as for the Mushroom Kingdom!
